Due to staffing shortages to plow and maintain safety and security, the road to Paradise from Longmire at the National Park Inn is closed during weekdays. The road will open (weather permitting at 9am on Saturdays and Sundays). Snowshoeing and cross country skiing is permitted on trails. This restriction is temporary and not expected to continue. Once roads are free of snow, the road to Paradise will open 7 days a week.  Mount Rainier National Park is not closed. ONLY the road between Longmire and Paradise is closed to vehildes.
