From Skate Creek Road, take Alpine Drive one block to Alta Drive into the parking area. Restrooms, picnic area, and access to the river over a bridge and short trail to the river. No boat launch, but hand-carried boats such as kayaks and canoes can be launched. Nature signage educates the public about what they might see. The access is gated but will be opened from dawn to dusk.
